A 10-day study tour to Ireland and England for 20 BTS Animal Production students from CFA de Fontaines. – info-chalon.com

A project carefully prepared over two years by BTS Animal Production students from CFA de Fontaines.

As part of their studies, BTS PA students must present a project from start to finish. This year they have to perform in pairs a theme going to Ireland and England.

20 students, 12 girls and 8 boys will go on a 10-day study tour from October 17 to 27, 2024. They will be accompanied by two teachers of the Lycee, Monsieur Chopard and Madame Bernard.

Info-Challon met three students in charge of communication, Andrea Galoche, Emily Race And Antoine Bouvret.

Info-challenge : What made you choose Ireland?

Emily :” At first we decided to go to Madagascar, but we were strongly advised against it. The area is not safe at all. »

Andrea :” Ireland was our other choice, a choice made jointly at class level. »

I C : How did you prepare for your trip?

Andrea :” There are different groups, one for transportation, one for finding sponsors, one for accommodation, and one for planning. »

I C : com and yours.

Anthony :” We split into groups of two to prepare for the visit. »

I C : How will your stay there be? Where will you stay?

Emily :” Transport by minibus, then transfer by ferry and minibus. Stay at the Lodge in Kells, Ireland from October 17th to 22nd and at the Lodge and Sheep Farm in Pantigelly, England from October 23rd to 27th. » (Kells is an Irish town located in County Meath).

I C : Can you tell us a little bit about financing?

Andrea :” We looked for and found sponsors, as well as sales of Comte and Morbier cheeses from Arboissien and Croissant, La Frutière du Plateau. »

Around ten sponsors helped the BTS class with their project, including the Lycée de Fontaines APE.

On their trip, they will visit a snail farm, farms, a distillery in Dublin and a crocodile farm.

A reenactment of their journey will take place at the Lycée in January 2025.
