SWR –

Ulrich Koch works as multimedia editor for Studio Stuttgart. The range of topics – typical of SWR’s work in a local studio – ranges from politics and the economy to colorful stories or current affairs in the Stuttgart region. Ulrich Koch lives in Esslingen – which is why she has a special focus on this district, but also researches topics in the state capital and surrounding districts as well as in Baden-Württemberg.

In front of S.W.R

Before joining SWR, Ulrike Koch studied linguistics in Konstanz with a focus on the English language. Already during her bachelor’s degree and a semester abroad in Ireland, she gained journalism experience at various radio stations. She then completed a traineeship at a private broadcaster in Stuttgart. There she worked as a moderator for several years – until she decided to study for a master’s degree at the Stuttgart Media University. She continued her education in 2022 as part of an SWR internal training course. The stations include “ARD-Aktuell” and “SWR Aktuell” and the editorial offices “SWR1 Musik” and “Recherche-Unit” in Mainz.
