Women’s World Cup 2023: Morocco to play Ireland in friendly

Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses will play a friendly against Ireland as part of preparations for the Australia-New Zealand Women’s World Cup 2023.

This was announced by the coach of the Irish team, Vera Pawe, on Thursday. “Finding an opponent at such short notice is a challenge but we are delighted to have confirmed this training camp in Marbella, followed by a match against Morocco which will provide a suitable test as we begin our preparations. The match will be played in Spain on November 14. The Atlas Lions, who will be part of this celebration of world football in Australia-New Zealand in 2023, are in Group H alongside Germany, South Korea and Colombia. The competition starts on July 20 and ends on August 20, 2023.
