The Windows 11 operating system is already used by millions of users around the world.

Windows 11 will soon lose another useful taskbar feature

Users expect another disappointment soon. Apparently, Microsoft is planning to remove another useful taskbar feature. This is part of an effort by developers to optimize the OS for tablets.

During and after the test build, Microsoft will no longer be able to rearrange or drag icons in the taskbar, and will no longer support dragging icons into the system tray pop-up window in the taskbar under the “^” icon containing applications. Works in the background.

At first, users thought this was a bug and the company would fix it in the future, but new builds show that this is a deliberate change in favor of optimization for tablets.

In a statement, Microsoft confirmed that the drag-and-drop feature needs to be removed to optimize the OS for tablets. This may be because the company wants to reduce the accidental drag of icons on tablets.

For all Windows 11 stable users, this change will come with the release of Windows 11 version 22H2.
