For many, the New Year does not officially begin until a few days after New Year’s Day – from January 1, Christmas and New Year’s night can be spent watching movies and sleeping.

With normalcy and return to work (sorry), you may decide to be more organized by 2022.

Also, if multiple resolutions fail and you include those dates in your calendar or planner, you can continue to organize with your various cards, gifts, and other post items.

Here are the holidays when Royal Mail services will not work in 2022.

If you want to know when to send cards or gifts or put them on the calendar to arrive on time, here are Royal Mail’s public holidays and vacation dates for 2022.

Monday, January 3rd – New Year’s Day

Thursday, March 17th – St. Patrick (Northern Ireland only)

Friday, April 15th – Good Friday

Monday, April 18th – Easter Monday

Monday, May 2nd – Public holiday in early May

Thursday, June 2nd – Spring bank break

Monday, August 29th – Summer vacation

Monday, December 26 – The day after Christmas

Tuesday, December 27th – Christmas Day

What’s next public holiday?

If you are not in Northern Ireland the next public holiday will not be Good Friday until April.

Northern Ireland will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, but other parts of the UK will have to wait until April 15 for Good Friday.
