WhatsApp will stop working on millions of older smartphones .. Details

As support for many iPhones and Android phones will be permanently removed, WhatsApp will soon stop working on millions of older smartphones, according to a report by Sun in November.

Affected users either need to update their software or buy a new phone, your device may be too old to update, so you need to get a new mobile phone somehow.

It is expected to affect more than 40 different smartphone models, and the company will start implementing this step from November 1, after which WhatsApp will stop working.

Supported models:

For Android users, you need to be running Android 4.1 or later.

For iPhone users, you must have iOS 10 or later.

For Android phones, you will lose access to many popular phones, including the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Huawei Ascend Mate, and Apple will lose access to an iPhone 4 or above.

If you have never updated your iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, or iPhone SE (2016), you will lose access until you update, but you can update all three models to iOS 15 – the latest version – and still have access to WhatsApp.
