Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dyck praises teammate Kayomhin Keller after his performance against Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool drew 2-2 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah gave the visitors a two-goal lead but goals from Matteo Kovacic and Christian Pulisic ended in a draw.

Although Liverpool scored one point in this match, they struggled to perform well for most of the game. However, one player who stood out for the Reds that night was backup goalie Kelleher.

Liverpool striker Van Dyke has impressed the Irishman, calling him a top goalkeeper after the game. Defender insisted the Reds needed Keller in the absence of starting goal tender Allison. He told Sky Sports:

“I am a big fan of his. He is a great goalie. In my opinion, he learns the best from Alison. His presence is good, he is confident on the ball, and he makes excellent saves. “

He added:

“It simply came to our notice then that we needed him now because of the Kovid cases. Unfortunately we both agreed, but the first one he really couldn’t do. We need him in the next matches too. “

Liverpool were forced to target Keller for his trip to Chelsea after Allison Covid was found to be 19-positive. However, 23-year-old Thomas Touchell was not afraid of the possibility of facing the team and performed well between posts.

Kellogg conceded two goals, but he missed four more chances for Chelsea. Ireland International also made a good save to prevent the Blues from giving the Blues the lead early in the game.

Kellogg’s hopes to retain their place in the starting XI when Liverpool face Arsenal in the EFL Cup on Thursday.
