Valerio Siciliano will be on the bench against Ireland at the U-20 World Championship

A little more wait and it will be the start of the U20 World Championship in South Africa. Who will succeed Francine who has won the last three championships? While some teams are fighting for the title, others are there to continue progress and confirm their chances.

Italy is not in an easy group, but the door is open to do something interesting and confirm a good 6-nation tournament. The young Italians have something to play for and it's up to them to confirm that, and the first match will take them straight to the heart of the matter.

Italy have announced their squad for Saturday's match against Ireland. Valerio Siciliano is the replacement.

After joining the CAB training centre, Valerio Siciliano had a very good season with the Espoyers. With his national team, he featured in 4 out of 5 matches at the U-20 tournament, most notably during the win in France. He will find the World Championship this summer and hope to contribute to a great run for his team.

As a reminder, Italy have been drawn in Pool B alongside Ireland, Australia and Georgia. Match against Ireland kick-off: Saturday 4.30 pm.
