Ukraine claims 200 Russian paratroopers killed in attack – News

Serhii Haidai, the head of the military administration in the Lugansk region, announced on Friday that about 200 paratroopers were killed in an attack by the Ukrainian army on a site used as a Russian military base in the city of Kadyvka.

In a Telegram message published by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrainform, Heidai explained that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had “bombed up” the Donbass Hotel, located in Kadyvka, which has been a base for the Russians since 2014.

“200 Russian paratroopers have been eliminated. That will continue,” said the head of the junta, who did not say when the attack took place.


Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 46,250 casualties among Russian soldiers. The beginning of the conflict, on February 24400 of them in the last 24 hours.

Also, since then, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 1,936 tanks, 4,251 armored fighting vehicles, 1,040 artillery systems, 272 multiple rocket launch systems and 148 air defense systems, according to data published on Facebook.

The Russian military still lost 234 aircraft, 202 helicopters, 834 operational tactical drones, 196 cruise missiles, 15 ships, 3,162 vehicles, tank trucks and 99 special equipment.
