The Iberian Peninsula has historically been the meeting point of various maritime cultures, and thanks to this uniqueness, it presents a unique musical and cultural richness in the world. The Al-Andalus Quartet, composed of young Spanish musicians, expresses this value through some of the compositions of the Catalan Albéniz (1860-1909), one of the main exponents of Spanish musical nationalism. Extraordinary composer and jazz interpreter, the Valencian Ferrero (1942) and the famous Argentinian Piazzolla, the greatest exponent of tango. Conceived in America, tango quickly spread throughout Europe, evolving into flamenco in Spain, and in Argentina it was described differently, as we know it today as Argentine tango.
Five musicians from different backgrounds, but with a common passion for Irish music and ethnic influences. This concert is a journey of sounds, music and atmosphere. A journey into the imagination of this land, interweaving lively melodies and evocative soundscapes with moments of epic music and others that echo the spirit of the Celts, keeping the hallmarks of Irish folklore with great impact and fervent spirit in every setting. The use of original instruments such as the tin whistle, the small Irish flute, the Eulen pipe of the bagpipe family, the bodhran, and the traditional Irish drum and fiddle enhance the discovery of the sounds and musical heritage of Ireland. The Irish fiddle was played with regular bow strokes.
