In July and August, RBB Fernsehen and BR Fernsehen will dedicate themselves to the pearls of queer cinema.
rbb Television has announced that the film series rbb Queer will continue this summer. This is the fifth time this incident is happening. For the short anniversary, BR Fernsehen is getting on board and showing productions with non-heterosexual themes in the corresponding BR Queer program window.
So that the broadcasters don’t really interfere with each other, colorful cinema is always entertaining with Bavarian colleagues on Saturdays at 11.30pm and rbb television on Thursdays at 11.15pm. It starts on July 2.
Publication in the ARD Media Library
A total of eleven films are running until August 13, six of which have German TV premieres. After their linear broadcast, most of them will also be available in the ARD media library. As in previous years, there is a collaboration with Salzburger, a Berlin film distributor specializing in queer cinema.
“I am delighted that our RBB queer film series is now getting a boost from South India. The more broadcasters participating, the better. Because queer will be more natural – in Berlin and Brandenburg, in Havel or in Bad Tolls,” hopes rbb program director Dr. Jan Schult-Kellinghaus about the positive effect of summer event programming.
