These are the new “shooting stars” in Berlin.

BERLIN (AP) – He will soon be seen in Fatih Ak’s new film: Berlin actor Emilio Sakraya, 25, is one of the ten European “shooting stars” to be honored as young actors in Berlin this year.

According to the organizers, the other winners were: Grossija Filippovic (Croatia), Mary Ruther (Denmark), Anamaria Vartholomi (France), Claire Dunn (Ireland), Hannah Van Vliet (Netherlands), Joao News Montero (Portugal). (Slovenia), Evin Ahmed (Sweden), Souheela Yacoub (Switzerland). The award, presented by the European Film Promotion Network, will be presented at the Berlin Palace on Monday.

Among other things, Sakraya starred in the series “4 Blocks” and in Till Schweiger’s “The Rescue of the World None to Us”. Fatih Akin’s new film “Rain Gold” is the life story of rapper Satar. Former German “shooting stars” include Daniel Bruhl, Anna Maria Muhe, Moritz Bleibtru and Jella Haas. Albrecht Schuch (“System Crasher”, “Bad Banks”) was selected last year.
