Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkiv (northeast), is under Ukrainian control, Governor Oleg Zinegabov said, fighting hours after the Russian army announced its advance.

“Kharkiv is under our complete control,” Zinagoubov wrote on social media, assuring that “the elimination of enemies in the city” is underway.

The clashes started this morning and clashed at various places. Sinegubov said on Facebook that “Russian enemy light vehicles have been recorded, including the center of the infiltration into the city of Kharkiv”.

With a population of 1.4 million, it is the second largest city in the country, located 400 km east of the capital, and is controlled by the Ukrainian military, according to local authorities.
