The UK Health Minister says the Delta variant is likely to replace 40% more

The arrival of the Delta variant, first identified in India in April and now dominating the United Kingdom, threatened to lift the final restrictions expected on June 21 after a long winter imprisonment. On that date, Matt Hancock added that two-thirds of adults will be fully immunized, up from 52% at present.

According to some British newspapers, the government plans to postpone the deadline to two weeks. The decision was made on June 14.
