A Previous article We understand that Qualcomm’s future flagship processor will be officially launched on November 30, the first day of the annual Qualcomm Tech Summit event.

At the time, I thought the processor name was Qualcomm Snapdragon 898, but the US company confirmed in a teaser that it would call the processor commercial. Snapdragon 8 Gen1. We understand that processors will continue to launch in the future by changing the last digit of the name (Snapdragon 8 Gen2, Snapdragon 8 Gen3, etc.), and the brand “Snapdragon” will be used independently from Qualcomm (avoiding as much as possible the relationship between the two brands), which is intended for the mobile segment only.

We do not yet know what will happen to other categories of processors, and it’s a little difficult to implement a similar name given the large number of models out there.

Through the teaser we learn that there are over 2 billion devices worldwide with Snopdragon processors and that the brand logo will undergo some aesthetic changes.

As for the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, we know from current sources that the 3 GHz + 3 x ARM Cortex-A710 will be an octa-core containing 1 x ARM Cortex-X2 clocked at 2.5 GHz + 4 x ARM Cortex. The A-510 clocked up to 1.8 GHz. At the GPU level we have the Adreno 730, a 5G modem called the X65 5G that offers download speeds of up to 10 Gbps..
