The nations of the world are in the process of researching whether life is possible in a world beyond the earth. Space researchers are exploring the possibility of growing the plant in space and conducting various experiments. Tacos, a Mexican dish made by NASA astronauts at the International Space Station, is gaining attention. This tacos have a specialty. The filling filling inside the tacos is made using chillies planted in space. Chilli seedlings were planted four months ago. The chillies harvested in space were brought to Earth. NASA claims that this is the first time such a harvest has been carried out in space.
Megan McArthur, a space researcher, tweeted pictures of chilies, chili plants and tacos. We cooked with red and green chillies. With that I made tacos at the space station — Megan tweeted. The tacos filling was made with tomatoes and chilies.
Feast on Friday! After harvest, red and green chillies were tasted. Then we completed the surveys (data must be received!). Finally, I made my best space tacos so far: Fajita Beef, Rehydrated Tomato & Artichoke, Hatch Chili! https://t.co/pzvS5A6z5u pic.twitter.com/fJ8yLZuhZS

The first harvest of chillies took place on Saturday in space. NASA says this is one of their most challenging experiments. This is because the time taken for germination and growth of seeds is longer as compared to land.

Most scientists at the space station eat packaged food. This forces them to eat low quality and nutritious food. The team decided to cultivate chillies because they can be harvested very quickly and are rich in vitamin C.
