Swedish startup launches vegetable milk from potatoes

In Sweden, vegan dairy brand Doug has introduced the world’s first potato-based vegetable-based milk.

It is similar to real dairy products, and even more eco-friendly compared to competing plant-dairy products. The Green Queen.

Doug was created by a food inventor in Veg of Lund. This product is based on the research of Professor Eva Thonberg of the University of Lund.

Doug actually uses potatoes instead of soy, oats, or almonds.

The manufacturer claims that it is “the world’s first potato-based vegan milk”.

NB Dairy farmers have not received the margin of seasonal safety

In addition to potatoes, milk contains protein, maltodextrin, chicory fiber, rapeseed oil, and natural flavors.

Milk also contains vitamins including D, B12 and folic acid.


For reference: In 2017 a Swedish scientist Eva Thonberg created a potato-based emulsion, Can be based on vegan products, especially milk.

In 2015, Vegan, a vegan brand in Canada, launched milk using a blend of potato, cassava root and pea protein. VegNews… There is also a vegan cheese made with potatoes in 2016.
