310 days to go before the start of the World Cup in Qatar

Cup finalists Brazil and Sweden played in yellow jerseys. A draw was necessary to decide who would play in the main shirt. Sweden won. Brazil played the final with blue shirts.

When Brazil captain Jules received the Remote Cup, everyone wanted to take a photo of it. It was then that Bellini facilitated the work of the photographers and lifted the cup over his head. This is the origin of lifting the cup over his head, a gesture that is still repeated today.

Despite all the organizations, the Brazilian leaders forgot to send the number of players registered for the cup. FIFA defined random numbering and, incidentally, went to reserve the number 10 shirt pele, which was soon immortalized.

Northern Ireland did not attend the World Cup because the Anglican religion forbade physical activity on Sundays. Local priests are required to authorize the participation of players who have traveled to Sweden with a clear conscience.

The 1958 World Cup was the only one in which all teams from the United Kingdom, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales participated.
