BERLIN (AP) – 1. The FC Union has threatened to fight traditional Dutch club Feyenoord Rotterdam in the playoffs for the Berlin Conference League. ERDVC’s fifth on the list is the most popular of the remaining eight teams coming to Iron on Monday (2pm) for the elimination round of the group stage of the new European Cup. However, Feyenoord must first survive in the third qualifying round against Swiss representative FC Lucerne.
Other potential union rivals are FC Astana (Kazakhstan), Bohemians Dublin (Ireland), PAO Saloniki (Greece), FK Riga (Latvia) against KAA Gent (Belgium) and Kuppio (Finland). It comes from groups of lots published by UEFA with seeded and unset teams.
Union Berlin qualified for the Conference League seventh on the list in the Bundesliga. The playoff games will take place on August 19 and 26. Eisern will play their home game at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin because the stadium seating capacity in the Alte Forestry does not meet UEFA requirements.
The winners of a total of 22 playoff duels have qualified for the group stage of the conference league, which starts on September 16, as well as the ten losing teams from the playoffs for the Europa League. The premier winner of the competition will be selected in the final on May 25, 2022 in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
