Chadwick Boseman was buried six days later at his home in Los Angeles, near his hometown of South Carolina, according to a death certificate released Monday.
Bosman died Aug. 28 at his home near Griffith Park in Los Angeles.
The Black Panther star was buried September 3 at Welfare Baptist Church Cemetery in Belton, South Carolina, the Associated Press reports.

The Los Angeles County certificate shows Bosman’s hometown, Anderson, about 11 miles from his cemetery.
A day after Bosman’s funeral, Anderson held a large public memorial.
The family had previously said that his sudden death was due to multiple organ damage, the underlying cause of colon cancer, and that he had been diagnosed with the disease four years earlier.

After being diagnosed, Bosman underwent surgery to remove colon cancer in 2016, and records show that he underwent laparoscopic surgery in March this year to remove the metastasized cancer.
The document lists Bosman’s work as an ‘artist’ in the ‘entertainment’ industry.
