SIT arrests seven in Punjab for thieving holy ebook

In a five-year-previous heinous criminal offense of the Sikh holy ebook — Guru Granth Sahib, a Specific Investigation Group led by Jalandhar Selection Deputy Inspector Common Ranbir Singh Khatra arrested 7 Dera Sacha Sauda followers from Punjab’s Faridkot district early on Saturday.

They had been arrested for stealing a ‘bir’ of the Expert Granth Sahib from Burj Jawahar Singh Wala village.

Amid the arrested accused are Sukhjinder Singh, Neela, Ranjit Bhola, Nishan, Baljit and Narinder Sharma, all residents of Faridkot district of Punjab.
