Secondary School Mathematics Will Change: News Programming and Financial Literacy – Sociedad

The Mathematics program for secondary education will change, and the main highlights of the proposed review will include programming, statistics, financial literacy, and “mathematics for citizenship.”

According to the newspaper General, Python language programming will be horizontal to all courses and there is a plan to strengthen the teaching of statistics. “Mathematics for Citizenship” is one of the highlights with the introduction of the mathematical theory of choice which is part of the subject in all courses.

Financial literacy is also highlighted in the proposal to review essential mathematical learning along with work on mathematics on salaries, taxes, deductions and promotions. According to the authors of the program review, the goal is to work more on practical mathematics for different needs of everyday life.

Still in accordance GeneralEvaluations need to be more varied, including tests, video presentations, blog development or reporting.

Suggestions for math programs in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade and vocational education will be discussed next week until September 15th. The changes are expected to take effect in 2024, starting in the 10th grade and gradually extending to the 12th grade.
