The Mathematics program for secondary education will change, and the main highlights of the proposed review will include programming, statistics, financial literacy, and “mathematics for citizenship.”

Financial literacy is also highlighted in the proposal to review essential mathematical learning along with work on mathematics on salaries, taxes, deductions and promotions. According to the authors of the program review, the goal is to work more on practical mathematics for different needs of everyday life.
