Échappées Belles: Your two numbers for this Saturday evening
20.55 Great Escapes: Spectacular Ireland (Replay)
The green island is revealed by intervening in the daily lives of Irish families, mysterious, traditional, festive and more welcoming. Ireland’s west coast offers a dive into fascinating landscapes of moorland blooming with heather and bog, cliffs jutting into the sea and estuaries losing themselves in the hills before finally reaching the ocean.
Ishmael Khalifa tries to understand how the proximity of natural places, the proximity of harsh natural places, nourished the Irish who would not leave their land for anything in the world. Ireland is also an island rich in deep-rooted culture, traditions that are still alive and are the pride of its inhabitants. On this trip to Ireland, Ishmael will try to understand why traditions still have such a place in the daily lives and hearts of Irish people. How do they keep these traditions alive every day? How do new generations adapt them to survive?
Ishmael will set off from Galway, a small former fishing port that has become an icon of Irish music, to the dramatic landscapes of the Cliffs of Moher, passing through the inescapable landscapes of the Connemara peat bogs. The west coast of the Emerald Isle.

Slovenians push their limits for success. They are champions in sports. In ecology, they innovate. They excel in wildlife conservation. Whatever the field, everything is what makes Slovenia shine all over the world. So Jerome Pitorin takes the viewer to see the ambitious inhabitants…
