Ryanair closed its base in Vienna

Published on

The airline Ryanair will close its base in Vienna at the end of the year with an Irish Disc discount. Employees have been asked to go to Greece or Ireland, otherwise they will be fired. Meanwhile, the airline ordered 75 new Boeing 737 Max aircraft.

The Irish Ryanair will close its base in Vienna at the end of the year. The previous three Boeing aircraft will no longer be stationed in Vienna. The aviation portal “Aviation.Direct” writes, quoting Ryaner’s domestic letter, as an alternative to Ryanair’s employees in Vienna moving to Dublin, Athens or Thessaloniki, or losing their jobs.

It is not clear how many employees will be affected if the Vienna base closes. Ryanair, the parent company of the Austrian Lodmotion, has since ceased operations. The newly established Loda in Malta moved to Europe, the only name being Austrian.
