As the Kovid-19 pandemic threatens its next version and the sports economy in general becomes dependent, the Six Nations rugby union tournament and indeed the European Oval are no longer fast approaching, a new deal. The steering committee of the French Rugby Federation (FFR) on Saturday began the approval process for an unprecedented partnership between the Six Nations Committee, bringing together the six federations involved. Competitive, private equity firm CVC Capital Partners.

Unprecedentedly, the project, which has been under discussion for a year and a half, entrusts the six federations involved in the tournament – in addition to the FFR – the English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish and Italian “federations” – the competition-related commercial rights management, ie audiovisual rights, as well as the audiovisual rights. Their goal: to develop their resources over time. The FFR approved draft agreement has a term of 50 years so one can talk for a long time!
