Rugby: The calendar of the 6-nation tournament and the France-Ireland match of 2022

Published on

Will Wales, who won the 2021 tournament, repeat their success in 2022? Everything in this competition is generally open, and that’s what makes it so attractive!

As a reminder, the Six Nations Nations Championship is an annual international men’s rugby union match between teams from England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. If Ireland had won its last tournament in 2015, the last French victory would have been in 2010!

But if there is one meeting that Irish lovers look forward to every year, it is the match against the French team XV du Trèfle (nickname given to the Irish team)!

In 2022, France will get Ireland

France will host Ireland in the Stade de France in Paris Saturday, February 12th (5:45 pm) Second day of the 2022 Six Nations Championship. We will let you know soon, all tickets are already sold out! On the other hand, you can still go to Dublin and see the competition in the unparalleled atmosphere of an Irish pub!

Recall that France won 15-13 against Ireland in the 2021 tournament.

France and Ireland have played a total of 100 rugby matches since their first encounter in 1909. France won 58 and Ireland 35. There have been seven draws between the two countries.
