Vikings: Vikings fans can no longer wait for the prequel to the historical series Valhalla. Netflix recently released the first promotional trailer for the series, and now the news is that the release is near.
The Vikings is a historical drama that debuted on the History Channel in 2013 and ended on December 30 with its sixth season. The series, created by Michael Hirst, has captured the attention of millions of fans around the world and has become a cult series.
The Vikings told their plot by combining historical documents from Ragnar Lotbrook’s Nordic Sagas and Fiction. This is the level of interpretation of each of its characters, which has made Vikings so popular among fans that they are now eagerly awaiting the release of the sequel to Vikings: Valhalla.
Vikings: Valhalla, the upcoming Netflix series has so far received a production order for three seasons of eight episodes, for a total of 24 episodes. Filming for this historical drama, which began last year, is almost complete.
The Vikings’ second season: Valhalla begins in early 2021; Filming of the second episode of the eight episodes has been completed in Ireland, with only season 3 to be filmed.
In fact, when the Vikings: Valhalla’s first promotional trailer was released a few months ago, it was revealed that the broadcast would take place in 2022. Now with the news that the work of Season 2 is over. The release of the first installment of the series is likely to come closer.
After filming, we know that episodes need to be completed through the post-production process. Since the filming of the first season was completed in early 2021, it is not unreasonable to assume that the final phase of production is nearing completion. So the first 8 episodes are likely to appear on Netflix between January and February 2022.
Filming for Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 was temporarily halted last spring due to problems with the pandemic. Production resumed later in August and thankfully was completed this week, according to a Twitter post by one of the set members who claims the play will be legendary.

At the time, Michael Hirst said:
“I am delighted to be returning to Ireland and to Ashford Studios in the beautiful county Wicklow where we have lived for eight years. Our Irish crew, in my opinion, is the best and most professional in the world. I am particularly pleased to share with my producer Morgan O’Sullivan that he has been able to employ hundreds of Irish men and women continuously.
