He was scheduled as the opening starter for the match against Australia. Jonathan Sexton, star of Clover’s XV, finally had to leave this final game of the Irish tour. Ross Byrne replaced Jack Crowley on the bench.

More recently, Jonathan Sexton had a “dead leg” symptom from the match against South Africa on November 5, as noted by the press. He was also uncertain in this final Test against Australia, leading Andy Farrell to recall Ross Byrne. But Irish fans were happy to see Sexton feature in the team.

Good news that didn’t last long. According to The Independent, it’s a calf injury. So Sexton’s leg problems aren’t over, which is very intriguing.
