Quint-Fonsegrives Harmony Orchestra (OHQF) performed at the Saint-Pierre des Cuisine Auditorium in Toulouse. The concert was organized by Zonda Club, an NGO that aims to improve the situation of women in Toulouse and around the world.
Among the many spectators were Mrs. N. Yardeni, Deputy Mayor of Toulouse, and Béatrice Germain, Deputy Mayor of Quint-Fonsegrives, in charge of culture.
At the beginning of the concert, the president of Zonda Isatis, S. Gerboulet, after a series of thanks, announced that the evening’s proceeds would be donated to the “Petit Salon,” a day care center for wandering women. As usual, OHQF’s conductor David Minetti presented the audience with a program of film music and original works for wind band.
Under his eloquent direction, the OHQF took the audience on a musical journey from Tyrol through Africa and the Americas to Ireland. With excerpts from “West Side Story”, L. Bernstein’s musical, the New York stopover, was highly praised. J. Another highlight of the evening was the isdaT Clarinet Quartet’s brilliant interpretation of Naulais’ composition “Reed and Demons”. After the quartet’s performance, OHQF Vice President P. Raut said how happy OHQF’s 70 amateur musicians of all ages were to play for the women’s cause. The next OHQF concert will take place on December 3rd at 5pm in the Espace Bernard hall. Solera de Quinte-Fonsegreaves as part of the events for the telethon.
