London – People who have been vaccinated in contact with people who have tested positive for Covid-19 have no isolation. Already in Scotland and Wales, changes to self-isolation laws have been applied. Instead of a 10-day quarantine, a negative PCR test is now sufficient, but it is not mandatory.
The change in the English course, which also applies to Northern Ireland, has been well received by the business community. The epidemic of notifications of staff reductions or quarantine liability caused by pingdemic has dealt a blow to all companies affected by pandemic. At its peak in July, the number of isolation warnings sent to England and Wales in less than a week was less than 700,000.
In an interview with BBC Radio 4, Tom Russell of Tmd Friction, leader of Break Fraction Technology, said from the Covid tracking app that 15% of Tmd employees in the UK were isolated after receiving a notification. 40% of these were part of the maintenance team, which caused delays in repairing the machines as a result of this malfunction.
Russell added that pingedemic “caused a lot of stress and pain for people who came to work, and for all those who were forced to stay at home for reasons they did not particularly understand.”
