Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Obamayang has confirmed that he has turned down an offer from Barcelona to sign a new long-term contract at Emirates.

The 31-year-old signed a three-year deal with north London earlier this month to end his future ulation deal, becoming the second highest paid player at the club in the process.

Obamayang allowed his contract with the Gunners to enter its final year. He was leaving when Unai Emery took the helm.

If a Dortmund forward had informed Arsenal, the club would have informed the striker that they would not sign an extension.

Ub Bamayang decided to stay, but the striker revealed that he had turned down an offer from La Liga giants Barcelona.

“Those were a lot of offers, especially from Barcelona,” Obamayang told Canal +.

My priority was to stay for two reasons – the first was coach Michael Arteta, because during ‘Locked Down’ we talked a fair amount, and he convinced me, especially about the project.

Of course, secondly, it’s the love I get from the fans and people at the club.

‘Because I was here, they treated me like one of them, and I’m going to stay here because I’m their own person. It’s that simple. ‘

In 2018, ub joined the Bamayang club at a cost of $ 57 million, but scored 72 goals in 112 appearances for the Gunners.

Earlier this week, Barcelona allowed Luis Suarez to join Atletico Madrid. Ronald Koeman wants to sign more mobile center Obamayang mold.

The Catalans started their La Liga campaign with a 4-0 win over Emery Villarreal on Sunday night, but Koman admitted he wanted to sign a striker.

Getting a ‘9’ is always fun, but you can play with nothing, ’Koman said.
