I found the first season of the live-action series adaptation of “Cowboy Bebob” to be really great, and was surprised to announce that Netflix was already pulling the plug right after its release. Really too early again in a particular series. Yes, the production was particularly expensive, and many fans of the animated original had trouble implementing it … However, the Netflix series seems to have enough fans, as an online petition shows!

“Save the live action cowboy babopRyan Profer is the name of a digital movement directed to Netflix and started on Change.org. Currently, 136,317 people have already signed up for the online petition, so it has been publicly stated that they would like to see the second season of the series.

“For people who want a second (or more) of live action cowboy baboons. It’s not a direct copy of the animation, but the world they put together is amazing and deserves a second season.

Unfortunately, the online application to continue the Netflix series “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency”, despite having more than 160,000 digital signatures, has so far failed to convince the streaming provider or other sponsors to produce a third season. I think the votes here are being collected very quickly. The 150,000 mark, according to the platform, will become “one of the most signed petitions on Change.org”. I guess 200,000 would still be easily smashed. It remains doubtful whether that puts enough pressure on Netflix.

Ultimately, of course, everything comes down to money. Large numbers need to come together to convince Netflix to continue costly production. In terms of content, however, it seems that the intention was to keep telling the story, so there remains a hope. Perhaps the first dizziness from Fansboys and Fangirles allowed Netflix to lose its influence. Or maybe someone else will come to the rescue of Cowboy Bebo and all our sci-fi entertainment …!
