Netflix may have invented a new tool to attract young users. The streaming video platform is experimenting with “Kids Clips”, a new feature that is directly inspired by TikTok, which displays short videos in its app from youth programs in its catalog.
This functionality, which is still in the testing phase, is being deployed on iOS. It will post daily new short videos of programs offered by Netflix, as well as upcoming new releases.
With its short videos, the service wants to promote the content of its catalog to a younger target, using more and more of the short videos on YouTube and TikTok.
The number of these new short videos offered in a horizontal format will remain limited, however, children can only watch 10 to 20 in a row. Bloomberg. The ceremony will begin this week in the United States, Canada, Australia, Ireland and Latin American countries.

In recent months, Netflix has stepped up its efforts to help users find the programs it offers on its platform more easily. After inaugurating the top 10 to help you discover new programs, Netflix deployed the “For Laughs” section on its mobile app a few months ago, inspired directly by TikTok, which contains short humorous videos taken from programs in its vast catalog.
