Millie Cyrus has recently made headlines for taking songs from other artists and owning them. Over the next few months, she has been given a spin on ‘Zombie’ by Cranberries, Britney Spears by ‘Jimmy More’ and Blondie’s iconic ‘Heart of Glass’.
Cyrus confirmed that he is currently in the studio on an album of metallica covers. In a new conversation between himself and fashion designer Rick Owens Interview Magazine, Cyrus revealed, “We’re working on a metallica cover album, I’m working here.”
“We are fortunate to be able to continue working on our art in all of this [the coronavirus pandemic], ”Cyrus added. “At first, it seemed discouraging, but now I’m completely glowing.”
This news should not come as a surprise as Cyrus has previously quoted metal legends as one of the influences behind the upcoming new album. Also, for her performance in Glastonbury last year, the pop star covered their classic ‘Nothing Else Matters’.
Elsewhere in the interview, Cyrus Iggy quotes Pope as an influencer, saying that when people ask her who she is studying for her stage movement, she always quotes the Stooges band leader.
Cyrus’ last material was returned in August, leaving the new wavelength ‘Midnight Sky’.
