Munich – To mark the 30th anniversary of Michael Schumacher’s Formula 1 debut, Netflix has shown the first trailer of the documentary about the seven – time Formula 1 world champion, which will be shown on the streaming platform from September 15, 2021.
The 1:52 minute long clip shows excerpts from the movie. Michael’s father Rolf, wife Corina and children Gina Maria and Mick have an opinion. “Every time I look at him, I tell myself: ‘That’s how I want to be,’ says the current Has Formula 1 driver about his father.

Sebastian Vettel also appears in the trailer, saying of Michael Schumacher: “There was no one like him.” In addition to excerpts from the interview, the clip shows emotional pictures from Schumacher’s racing life and several personal recordings.
Documentation on Michael Schumacher was announced at the end of July 2021. According to his longtime manager Sabin Kehm, it should be “a gift from the family to their beloved husband and father”.

“The director’s greatest balancing act was certainly finding a balance between independent reporting and family care,” says Knocker. “However, here, Corina Schumacher was our biggest support. She wanted to show Michael, an authentic film, with all its ups and downs, without any fuss.”
