Atlanta 0-5 Liverpool
Liverpool dominated the first half, really blending their game, with beautiful one / two touch football and excellent crossfield long passes.
The Reds took the lead in the 16th minute when Diego Jotta got the ball on the right channel, blocking an Atlanta defender and miraculously sinking it over the top of Sportello.
The Reds continued to dominate the game and were rewarded for their efforts in the 33rd minute, with a stunning long pass from Mati to the chest, finishing clinically in the top right corner to lift Liverpool 2-0.
The Reds saw the rest of the top half and have good value for their half time lead.
Shortly after Mo Salah took a 3-0 lead in the second half, the Egyptian took the ball and bounced it to the edge of the box, cutting his left foot past Sportello.
Two minutes later it was Salah who threw the ball from the left side to keep Mane 4-0, and the Atlanta keeper pulled the ball together, but Mane kept his head and the ball bounced over the keeper.
Jotta sealed his hat-trick 10 minutes later, this time with Sportello going too far to clear the ball for a mane-turning provider and a pass slide beyond the Atlanta defense, but the new Reds hero overcame it before it fell into an empty net.
Although Liverpool went on to score more goals and move on to their credit git forward, it was an easy task for Klopp’s boys, who are now in Group D with nine points from their three games.
