LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Stargazers have a chance to see what they call the best meteor shower this weekend.
The Gemini meteor shower will rise on Sunday night until Monday morning, and there should be better view because there is no moon in the night sky.
During the shower, there are 50 to 150 shooting stars per hour. It can be seen best from the city lights and the best view is at two in the morning (PT).
The Gemini meteor shower is active from December 4 to 17, but will be more visible on December 13 and 14.
According to astrome.com, Geminids have been found on an asteroid, 3200 PythonOrbiting the Sun once every 1.4 years. This orbit is closer to our star than any other asteroid.
