London entered its second lockdown this year as new restrictions went into effect after midnight.
The new lockdown will last four weeks and end on Wednesday, December 2nd.
MPs voted in parliament yesterday (November 4) for new restrictions on the law, with government projects giving the green light to 39 out of 516 votes.
In London, there are 148 cases of Kovid-19 per 100,000 population. In the latest government update, 2,307 people have been diagnosed with the disease.

Under the new lockdown rules, people will be told to stay home if they do not need to shop for child care, education, work, exercise, basic needs, medical needs, visit members of your support bubble or care for vulnerable people. A volunteer.
Do not allow people to visit indoors with family or friends unless they are part of your family (or bubble).
All essential shops, including indoor and outdoor leisure facilities such as blinging lanes, leisure centers, sports facilities including gyms and swimming pools, and golf courses will have to be closed.
Personal care facilities such as hair, beauty and nail salons and tattoo parlors will also be forced to close, as will theaters, concert halls, cinemas, museums, galleries and casinos.
The Boundary will ban international travel outside of work and discourage travel within the UK other than work – allowing overnight stays from home for work purposes only.
