Thaniste Leo Varadkar believes the pandemic will end in 2021 and Ireland will return to normal in the summer.
The Fine Gayle leader hopes that vaccines, rapid testing, and all existing knowledge experts will improve significantly next year.
But the vaccine needs to be set up for two months before it can make a difference.
Thaniste told Newstock Breakfast: “I can only give you an educated essham.
“We need to give the vaccine about two months before we really see a change in the vaccine. It is a two-dose vaccine.

“When we vaccinate high-risk populations, nursing homes, health care workers and others, you expect a significant change in case numbers and mortality after they receive their second dose.
“We think late March, early April … around Easter.
“That doesn’t mean things are back to normal, but level 2 and level 1 are more in place.
“If things go well in the summer, chances are we’ll be back to things like football matches, concerts, festivals and get-togethers.
“The first quarter of the year, is still difficult.
“In the second quarter of the year, life begins to look a little more normal.”
Tonist added that he hopes foreign holidays will return to the cards next summer.
