Earlier, Real Sociedad beat unrecognized Granada 2-0 to advance to the top of La Liga.

Officials rejected visitors’ attempts to postpone the game due to corona virus cases, which forced them to make nine changes from last week’s 1-1 draw with Levante, starting with five players aged 20 and under.

Sociedad took the lead through left-back Nacho Montreal in the first half, but Michael O’Reilly doubled their lead with a penalty five minutes later.

In the second half, Granada’s 18 – year – old keeper Angel Jimenez was saved by Brazilian forward Willian Jose. Sociedad finished the game with 10 men. Defender Robin Le Normand was shown a red card in the 86th minute.
