Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Thiago Alcantara, Nabi Keita and Joel Mattep will miss out on Liverpool ‘s Champions League clash with midfielders.
The trio have been on their knees for the next few weeks but a Reds return to Anfield on Tuesday night was expected.
Liverpool, who beat Ajax 1-0 in Amsterdam last Wednesday, will face Danish side Midgeland in their second Group D match.
However, Klopp confirmed that the trio will not be competing, saying: “They need a few more days [to recover]”.
With his preparation for Liverpool’s second group game, Klopp has taken no risks and points out that the midfielder is competing in his own right.
