After revealing later this week that ITV will not be hosting the show with Dermot O’Leary, this morning presenter Alison Hammond confirmed another shock from the host.
Ever since the pair took over from Ruth and Emon in early 2021, fans have loved the partnership between Alison and Dermot.
However, as Bank Holiday took over with Craig Doyle for Monday’s episode, Alison had a new hosting partner in early May.
Craig looks set to cover Dermot again in the Friday (May 27) episode announced on Alison and Craig’s Instagram accounts.
Taking his Instagram story, Craig said, “Hey, I went down to Brighton. I thought I would come to my cousin to say hello. Look who is at the window to greet me. ”
Pointing to a cropped picture of Alison standing by the window, she continued: “Hammond! I’m with her on Friday. see you later”.
Alison shared the same post with 1.1 million followers on her account.
Former Holiday presenter Craig has become a regular on the popular daytime show, taking on competitive segments.
But when he co-hosted the show with Alison earlier this month, viewers felt he was the perfect replacement.
Turning to Twitter at the time, someone wrote: “I loved Craig! You are a natural. You are a jerk with a lot of energy. Please, can you get up again? ”
Another said, “It was really fun. I thought Craig had already done it for some reason, and he’s sure to come back.”
The third wrote: “Are you two together? The real impression. Vote to be a repeat customer together! “
At the same time, the fourth viewer added: “Craig is a welcome addition to the presentation panel and certainly far more talented than the others. #This morning “.
Craig has been on TV for some time, and has also worked on BBC, ITV, and most recently BT Sport.
He is also known to Irish viewers as the host of RTE One Tonight’s chat show with RTE Two’s Craig Doyle and Craig Doyle Live.
