Taken by the magician Uri Geller Social media I apologize for banning the pocket monster Kadabra from the Pokemon trading card game years ago, and now allow Nintendo to use it again.
“I’m sorry for what I did 20 years ago. I’m banning kids and adults alike. Now it’s time to bring back my #Cadabra #Pokman card #Nintendo .This will be one of the rare cards now! Energy and love to all!”
In 2000, Geller filed a $ 60 million ($ 100 million) lawsuit against Nintendo, claiming that Pokമോmon Kadabra was his own illegal parody. He noted how some of the pocket monster’s were compared to Nazi RSS symbols, which he was not impressed with. This is what he had to say at the time:
“Nintendo turned me into a bad, Nigo P Pokമോmon character. Nintendo stole my identity with my name and signature picture. I want to tell the world before the holidays start, I have nothing to do with these violent characters.”
The The Japanese name for Kadabra – Junger / Yungeller / Yun Geller – refers to Geller. The English name is also associated with magic, and obviously, the pocket monster is famous for its curved spoons.
He told TheGamer via email that he had now sent a letter to the Nintendo chairman authorizing the company to relaunch the “Uri Geller Kadabra / Yungeller” card worldwide.
“Because of so many emails, I still beg you to allow Nintendo to bring back Kadabra / Jungeller, I sent […] Letter from the Chairman of Nintendo authorizing the re-launch of Uri Geller Kadabra / Jungeller worldwide. “
