Footage of former Cory star Beverly Callard eating a meat-free meal on Wednesday night I Am A Celebrity, formerly called “Fake Vegetarian” by viewers.
The actress split fans early in the season by avoiding eating deer testicles during a trial, but later saw another episode of “Chomping on a Scotch Egg” – which was a vegetarian alternative.
Presenters Ant and Deck defended her, but on the latest episode of the show the bosses shared footage of Beverly preparing her special meal.
The campers were getting ready to gather at the fire for their evening meal.
However, the camp cooks made Beverly a special dish without meat.
Beverly, who has been a strict vegetarian since March, began eating dinner as her classmates continued to cook.
“Bev was a vegetarian and her food was cooked earlier,” AJ explained to VT.
The video clip showed Beverly with food: “Sorry, but I got it.”
Viewers were impressed that the producers decided to show that Beverly is getting vegan options for dinner after receiving backlash from fans due to previous episodes.
One person wrote on Twitter: “People can fire her because her imaceacelebrity showed that Bevin has vegetarian options for dinner!”
Another shared: “When we first saw Bevin getting food separately she was ‘vegan’ imaseleb #imaselebrity.”
Others are still not convinced, one said: “And while Flor was at the East Show, along with two other vegetarians, they were not allowed to compete if they did not eat meat …. why is Bev allowed to break the rules ??? #imaceleb ”
“Everyone else argues that when Bev eats at different times, ITV follows a vegetarian diet on the same day – coincidence? #ImaCeleb “Wrote a fan.
Another echoed: “Does Bevin even know what a vegetarian or a vegetarian is ??? #ImACeleb ”
This comes after fans blamed Beverly for eating scotch eggs following the success of camp members Ruthie Henshol and Jordan North.
They were presented with a platter, although Beverly’s vegetarian option was not specified.
A typical Scotch egg contains a thick boiled egg dipped in crumbs wrapped in pork sausage meat.
She further confused the audience after she was filmed eating Jamie Dodger.
However, the traditional biscuit changed its recipe earlier this year and devalued the delicious snack diary.
Despite the resistance of the Ant and Deck, I have not prevented a celebrity spectator from paying attention to everything Beverly eats at camp.
* I’m a celebrity tomorrow on 9pm on ITV.
