I Am A Celebrity Vicky Pattison and Joy Essex ‘Return to New Series’

Published on

I’m a celebrity … get me out of here! This may have been a familiar experience as there are reports that the show’s producers are lining up two former Queens of Jungle to join the new series.

Former winners Vicky Pattison, 32, and Charlie Brooks, 39, are reportedly set to join the ITV show presentation team when the gates of Gwich Castle open in North Wales over the weekend.

Former Tovy star Joey Essex, 30, finished fourth in the jungle in 2013, The Sun reported.

Charlie, who was crowned champion in 2012, was seen loading bags into the Blackout People carrier before being taken to the show’s site in Auberge.

Former Giordi Shore star Vicky, who was the Queen of the Jungle in 2015, is also expected to join them, as they were isolated ahead of this year’s series.

Although the ITV makers have not confirmed what the roles of the three stars will be when the show starts on Sunday, Joey is expected to join the series in December for links.

All three have been asked to prepare for “all events” where they will spend time at the camp or present experiments or features.

A source told the publication: “ITV makers like to raise their sleeves.

“Is there a better way to celebrate the 20 series on the show than to get some of the former stars involved in some way?”

Manufacturers “keep their cards close to their chests”, “assuming they haven’t decided exactly what to do … but it can be a lot of things.”

Despite being isolated and then moving to Wales, this is an opportunity that “can’t even be utilized”.

Superstar gold medalist athlete Sir Mo Farah (37), TV host Vernon Kay (46) and East Enter’s star Shane Richie (56) are in this year’s list.
