Star Wars fans, today is a big day for you. With the announcement of new shows, it looks like the franchise is going to produce one of the most sought after remakes so far.

As part of Disney’s Investment Day 2020, Mega Corporation has revealed the details of its long-awaited Obi-Wan Kenobi show. The return of Ivan McGregor in the title role revealed that the series had a deeper connection to the prequels.

Christensen will return as Darth Ward, and the two characters will be in another collision course. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy broke the news and gave the news as ‘the competition again of this century’.

Deborah Cha, author and producer of the show, added: ‘We could not have told the story of Obi-Wan without Darth Vader. We will definitely see Obi-Van and Darth Ward re-enter it. ‘

Eight years after the conclusion of Revenge of the Sith, the show premieres a New Hope 11 years ago.

It is set to be a six-episode limited series that will begin filming in Spring 2021, although a release window of the show on Disney’s streaming service has yet to be revealed.

This marks the first time Christensen and McGregor have played these roles since leaving the series in 2005. It’s out of the small Voice guests on The Rise of Skywalker.

The announcement comes with the news that Star Wars will see up to 10 new shows in the universe.

This will reflect a fresh new consumption of Marvel TV productions.
