Gary light body of Snow Patrol among guests for late show return

The guest lineup includes Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody, and the Late Late Show returns tonight for its new season.

The hero will appear alongside fishermen Fisher Patrick and Morgan Oliver, who rescued paddleboarders Ellen Glin and Sarah Feeney who were rescued from the sea off Galway last month.

The RTE chat show will also feature an exclusive interview with GAA broadcaster Michel Murchertig at Croke Park on the occasion of his 90th birthday.

The Acting Chief Medical Officer of the Republic, Dr. Ronan Glyn will discuss the Kovid-19 Pandemic.

A doctor at the Maternal Hospital in Dublin, who died of Covid-19, said Dr. Dr. Syed Waqar Ali to talk about the loss of his father. Summer Fatima Ali arrives at the studio.

Guests will also enjoy musical effects Woman in Harmony, Frank and Walters.

Host Ryan Tubridi said the team was all worried and excited about the show’s return, describing the lineup as a “humming”.

The first late show of the new season airs at 9.35pm on RTÉ One.

Speaking at the launch of RTE’s autumn schedule last month, Tubridi said he did not anticipate an audience for any version of the “Let This Year in January” show due to an epidemic.
