Judicial sources say he was remanded in custody after being deported from Norway by French authorities in connection with the 1982 attack on a Jewish compound in Paris that killed six people.
According to judicial sources, Waleed Abdulrahman Abu Zayed has been charged with murder and attempted murder by a Paris magistrate who is an expert in terrorism.
Charles de Gaulle arrived at the airport in Paris from Oslo in 1991 and appeared before a magistrate.
Abu Zayed was arrested in September in the southwestern city of Skീൻne, Oslo. On November 27, Norway granted him extradition.
A bomb blast near a Jewish restaurant in the French capital, Maris, has killed at least 22 people on August 9, 1982. The Abu Nidal Organization has split from the militant Palestinian Fatah group.
Abu Zayed said he was not involved in the attack, which left three to five people dead and grenades hurled into a restaurant.
“My husband never killed anyone. He never went to France, ”his wife told AFP in 2015 in response to an international arrest warrant issued by France.
Abu Zayed claims he was in Monte Carlo at the time of the attack.
Opposing the transfer, he told the Norwegian authorities: “I do not like France. I do not want to go to jail in France. ”
French authorities have issued arrest warrants against two Jordanian suspects and another man believed to be in the West Bank.
