At the end of Documentary Film Month, the Media Library will air a film by Loic Jordan on Friday, November 26 at 6:30 p.m. Tribe of gods.
The film is set on the island of Tory on the northwest coast of Ireland, a place of culture and heritage, connected by ferry to the mainland. The replacement of the said ferry by an old boat angered its inhabitants and their last “king”, Patsy Dan Rodger.
Tribe of gods It talks about their struggle against institutions to achieve appropriate means of transportation and to preserve respect for their traditions, culture and language. The screening will continue with communication with director Loic Jordan.
Music will be invited to the Media Library on Saturday, November 27 at 3:30 p.m. La Clairière will host the Rennes group Kind of Guru for a 40-minute showcase as part of Drapage # 2, a “Concentration on Current Music” hosted by the Juliet Drew Cultural Center. “Two years ago, for the first edition of DeraPage, we organized a mini-concert in The Van. This year we renew our collaboration with the kind of guru who gives Afro music a touch of rap, ”says Benoit Noel, Media Librarian.
Both events are free and open admission.
