A few weeks before the start of the tournament, the coach will begin his year in 2022 at Tournon-sur-Ron.
We have not seen him since the Blues’ dazzling victory over the All Blacks on November 20 (40-25). France XV coach Fabian Galti will make a comeback in front of the cameras this Tuesday at the FC Turnon-Tine ground. In one of his traditional interventions at amateur clubs, he leads the coaching of a team that plays in Federal 2.
But in a pre-arranged Q&A session, Fabian will no doubt ask Galti about current events: The Six-Nations tournament, which the French have been pursuing for victory since 2010, is approaching. His team will start the match on February 6 with a reception in Italy. Events should therefore be linked to the kickoff of a version that France receives from Ireland and England.
If no date has been revealed yet, the Blues’ reunion will take place on Sunday, January 23 and Monday, January 24, after the last two qualifying days of the European Cup, against Covid’s fifth wave. Logically, the list of 42 players selected to prepare for the tournament should be unveiled by the Blues staff a week in advance.
While Fabien Galthié is alone on the Tournon-sur-Rhône, his assistants also travel the roads of France. The two coaches in charge of the French forwards, William Cervat and Karim Gazelle, will be in Burg-en-Brussels on Wednesday.
